Communications Enterprise
The Communications Enterprise (CE) aligns all of Motorola's communications businesses
into an actively managed and coordinated unit to provide integrated communications
solutions to a variety of customers and consumers around the world. The CE is made up of
seven major business units and comprises approximately 70% of Motorola global business.
Personal Communications Sector delivers
integrated solutions that enable consumers to take their world with them, fulfilling the
promise that they can carry voice, data or video communications anywhere they go, anytime
they want. A major component is the Consumer Solutions Group, which ensures that we
understand and answer customer needs.
Commercial, Government and Industrial Solutions Sector serves three distinct global
markets, providing integrated communications solutions that include systems, equipment,
software, services, applications and content. These solutions involve Motorola and, where
necessary, non-Motorola products and services.
Network Solutions Sector is
responsible for manufacturing, sales and Integration of Motorola's cellular
infrastructure. The group works closely with the Global Telecom Solutions Group to ensure
an infrastructure that gives network operators an expanded range of services.
Global Telecom Solutions Group understands the requirements of large global network
operators and coordinated the delivery of solutions from other Motorola businesses to meet
their needs. The group works closely with the Personal Communications Sector and the
Network Solutions Group to deliver total customer solutions.
Internet and Networking Group
combines Motorola's Internet, data networking and software capabilities to develop
servers, applications and Internet solutions. The group will launch innovative new
products and services through our customer-focused businesses.
Satellite Communications Group
Is a developer, system integrator, and prime contractor for satellite-based communications
networks.
Network Management Group holds and manages Motorola's investments in land-based and
satellite based network operators. |
Semiconductor Products Sector
As the world's #1 producer of embedded processors, Motorola's Semiconductor Products
Sector offers multiple DigitalDNA solutions which enable customers to create new business
opportunities in the consumer, networking and computing, transportation and wireless
communications markets. In addition, provides high-volume and unique discrete, analog and
digital semiconductors that are used in virtually every type of electronic equipment.
Integrated Electronic Systems Sector
The Integrated Electronic Systems Sector designs and manufactures a broad range of
electronic components, modules and integrated electronic systems and products for
automotive, computer, industrial, transportation, navigation, energy systems, consumer and
lighting markets.
